Who I am
Grass Is Greener is a freelance SEO service operating in the United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), I am the controller of the personal information described here. You can contact me at grassisgreenerseo@gmail.com or on 07883 702512.
What I collect
This website does not use contact forms, analytics or advertising cookies. I only collect personal information when you choose to contact me, for example by email or phone. That may include:
- your name, email address and phone number
- your business name and website address
- anything else you include in your message
If you become a client, I will also hold the information needed to deliver the work and invoice you, such as billing details and access to tools like Google Search Console or your website.
How I use it, and why
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a free audit or quote. Lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, or my legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
- To deliver SEO services and manage our working relationship. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
- To keep business and tax records. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
I will never sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
Who I share it with
I use a small number of trusted providers to run the business, including Google (email) and my website host. They process data on my behalf under their own data protection terms. Some may store data outside the UK, in which case appropriate safeguards are in place.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Client records are kept for up to 6 years after our work ends, to meet tax and accounting requirements.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to how I use it, and to ask for a copy in a portable format. To make a request, email me and I will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies. If that changes, for example by adding analytics, this policy will be updated and you will be asked for consent where required.
